Large scale F1 Stock Car racing and Marder Sprint Car Racing * * ****LATEST NEWS HERE**** Ten Years of TopStox Racing It's ten years since the first ever Topstox race meeting was held in the UK at Notts & Derby raceway on 17th March 2002. To celebrate our Decennial year the meeting to be held on 18th March 2012 will be our Decennial meeting with trophies for First, Second & Third places. Don't miss it, make sure you are there to help us celebrate 10 years of the most exciting racing in TopStox R/C F1 Stock car racing.
24th June 2012, English Open Championship...Saturday is free practice, Free camping Saturday night and canteen will be open. £15 entry fee to non club members.
Summer Series 2012 Firs t Meeting:-11th March 2012 Practice day Canteen will be open for gorgeous butties. All meetings - Booking in & Scrutinizing from 9:00 am All drivers must be booked in by 9:30 am at latest Racing starts 10:00 am
CLUB MEMBERSHIP To join the TOPSTOX and SPRINTCAR CLUB, Click here to download your membership form then fill in and hand in to Race control with your payment, or send with a cheque payable to NDLO, to the name and address on the form.
BRCA MEMBERSHIP We are a BRCA Affiliated Club. This means that you will be required to be a BRCA member to race at our track. But don't worry, joining is simple, you can join the BRCA as a Full Member or as an Affiliated Member, online on their website using Paypal. Or, you can download the appropriate form below, print it out and send it to the BRCA with the appropriate payment. The forms are also available from Race Control.
IMPORTANT All racers will be asked for sight of their BRCA membership card or proof of application before you are allowed to race.

World Final 2010
So far this season, the best lap time in the Sprint
cars was held by Brian Short and was the only lap under 6
seconds, 5.945 seconds to be precise. This time was beaten yesterday 30th May 2010 by Wayne
(fast but unlucky) Mokes with a stunning time of 5.935 seconds.

FAIL SAFE SYSTEM 1. Cars should have an electronic and mechanical failsafe device that must return the throttle to neutral when activated. I.e. Through loss of battery power and/or loss of radio signal Please note:- The electronic failsafe on your handset will only work (If set up) only if your car goes out of range of the handset or loses radio contact with handset for some reason. If for any reason the receiver loses power (broken battery or battery wire etc.) and the throttle is open, the handset failsafe will not have any effect, but then a mechanical failsafe will work and will therefore stop the car.
In the event of a loss of battery power to the receiver, then this spring will return throttle to neutral. The one in the picture is from a ball pen. (Too strong a spring and servo may struggle to open throttle, too weak and it may not return throttle to neutral) On a Sprintcar or even a straight forward Marder, a spring fixed to throttle lever on carb and attached with a small cable tie to rear bulkhead works perfectly too.
